Enersea reaches milestone with 1,500 kilometers of pipeline design

Enersea has achieved a major milestone, having completed the design of 1,500 kilometers of pipelines and umbilicals over the past nine years.

Moreover 80% of the installed Dutch offshore infrastructure, of pipelines and umbilicals during this period, has been designed by Enersea. This impressive achievement underscores Enersea’s leadership in offshore pipeline design. Also the integration of subsea pipelines with offshore platforms for the transportation of oil & gas and hydrogen is a key competence of Enersea.

Our approach

Enersea’s approach to pipeline design encompasses both concept and detailed design, as well as flow assurance and installation management. Additionally, Enersea offers expertise in pipeline integrity management, lifetime extension, and the repurposing of existing hydrocarbon pipelines for new applications such as hydrogen transport or Carbon Capture Utilisation & Storage (CCUS).

This milestone solidifies Enersea’s position as a true expert in pipelines and umbilicals within offshore infrastructure, paving the way for future advancements in sustainable energy infrastructure.

For an offshore windfarm on the east coast of the USA, Enersea completed the basic design of two jackets for two offshore HVDC substations. The jackets will weigh approximately 7,500 and 9,000T and will support the substations weighing around 10,000T and 15,000T.

For DEME’s DP3 multipurpose installation vessel Viking Neptun, Enersea has designed a modular next level Cable Installation System (CIS).

Enersea designs jacket for UK offshore substation

For an offshore wind farm in UK waters, Enersea has completed the basic and detailed design of two jackets. These jackets, weighing 4,000 tons each, will support two different offshore substations of approximately 9,000 tons.
